“wheel-go-round,” a team of recently graduated IMBA students from Thammasat Business School, won the first prize from “Mekong Business Challenge Competition 2013/14,” the leading annual competition for young entrepreneurs across Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, and China’s Yunnan Province,  aimed to promote entrepreneurship and innovative business ideas across the region.

“wheel-go-round” was the only Thai team amongst eleven teams competing in the final round held in Vientiane, Laos, on Saturday, March 15th. As this year’s winner, they were given gold medals and will advance to compete in the International Business Model Competition in Utah, United States in May. The first runner-up team, VeXeRe.com from Vietnam, received silver medals and was given the opportunity to visit the Google regional office in Singapore. And the second runner-up, TEDU also from Vietnam, received bronze medals and laptops from sponsor.

“wheel-go-round” has built an online platform to collect and share accessibility information of places for wheelchair users. Its ultimate goal is to create a community for wheelchair users both in Thailand and globally in order to promote equality and raise awareness for public and private sectors to better accommodate them.
